I’m absolutely in love with my 1587s! I grabbed these right before a 3 week trip to Europe with the family. I wanted to travel with minimal clothing and was looking for a versatile pair of shoes that could go casual, and be dressed up as well. I am so DAMN pleased with my choice. These are probably one of my most stylish pair of shoes I own and definitely the most comfortable leather sneakers I have. I have gotten a bunch of compliments already in the first week of wear, Italians are shocked this is a US based brand. So much of a wow factor. I also love the ‘1587’ branding on the back, it makes me proud as an Asian to wear it with SWAGGER. Thank you to the 1587 team for making an amazing pair of shoes and for representing our community so well.

I first learned about this company through an Asian network and then heard an interview on Dear Asian Americans so I had to order a pair of kicks. I just loved the story behind their brand. Anyway, I placed an order and received the shoes so incredibly fast. I had a bit of a snafu with my order, but the customer service was more than amazing (which tells you a lot about a company). I gotta say that I love, love these shoes - you can feel the quality of the material and they’re super comfortable. I’ve never had a pair of sneakers where I felt like so much thought, love and care has been put into them…by people who represent my community. I’ll be wearing these proudly and unapologetically!

Very comfortable shoes that are easy to clean! I normally do not wear white because of how easily they get dirty, but the design of these are made to resist the issue and bring convenience to style. What a great pair of shoes. I gifted these to a co-presenter so that we both can have 1587's on while presenting at an Asian leadership conference. Our topic was to better understand the identity we have as Asians across the multiple identity spectrum, where it's Asian American, Black Asian, Hapa... we all need to be consciously aware of the strengths we have and to be intentional in using them. The shoes were a way we presented a conscious reminder to empower ourselves in tapping into our strengths. They were great in comfort and illustration.

Love the style and comfort. Soft leather and didn’t need any break in time as they were super comfy from the first time I tried them on! My first impression of the shoe is that it is very well made (advertised). Leather feels premium and all of the panels from both shoes aligned. I tried them on and they feel comfortable . It does feel roomier (wider) and more cushy than my CPs. That’s about all I can speak on them since I’m keeping them on ice until spring. So far, they feel like a great purchase especially for the price. Looking forward to wearing them.

Fit is great. Ordered half size down as it was recommended. Perfect fit and the leather is supple and no crease in sight even after 2 weeks of wear.

I've owned Common Projects, Koios, Thursdays, Adidas, and many others and they all had the similar issues of being stiff, heavy, creasing, low breathability, or hurting where they crease. I've sold them all because of me not wanting to wear them after a few weeks of wear. I was expecting these to be the same. I was wrong! I'm very excited to keep these and love the high quality materials and thoughtfulness of each part and explanation.

My shoes were comfortable the moment I slipped them on and now it’s my go to for slightly formal looking kicks which goes well with a dress or a pair of jeans. Much better than the Stan smiths or the Nike Air Force shoes.

I have a white pair of AP87s from a year ago that I love so I decided to get the black to match with more business casual outfits. I work at a law firm and my attorney was impressed with the quality and design! They are the most comfortable every day shoe I’ve ever owned!

I contacted the team to ask a sizing question and inquire about additional stock. I received a prompt and personable response. I purchased the FAHM shirt and AP87 all whites, which are easily the most comfortable and my favorite shoe of this style. I consistently check the website for any new drops.

GREAT FIT, QUALITY FEEL, GREAT LOOKING!!! I wear 8.5/9 usually. I have a ‘narrow’ heel. The M8 in this sneaker was a comfortable fit.

I just received my AP87s and they are great! Beautiful construction and details, and they accommodate my custom orthotics very well. These fit like they were custom made for me! I am also happy to support 1587 and the very purposeful branding. As 3rd generation Filipino American, it’s wonderful to acknowledge and celebrate the first year Filipinos were documented to be in Morro Bay, California. My grandfather joined the US Navy from the Philippines in 1918 and served over 30 years. Much respect for my grandfather and our many other seafaring ancestors! Remembering them every time I wear these.

The shoes look great and they're really comfortable. I have only two very small complaints. The laces are stiff and waxy so on Day One, they wouldn't stay tied. I rinsed them in hot water and they're much better now. Also, in longer jeans that hang over the back of the shoe, the red suede rubs off and stains the white rubber of the shoe. I was able to clean it off and have sprayed the suede with Scotch Guard. Hopefully that will help.

Wow!! I first saw the founders being interviewed on New York Live, and my interest was piqued. I purchased my first pair, and then I had to purchase a second a couple of weeks later. Really sharp looking and high quality. Having a bit of trouble breaking them in as the break in the left foot where it flexes is hitting me poorly. Guessing they just need more miles.
